Patients & financing
Insurance, payment options and what to expect as a new patient
Cost should never be the reason a tooth gets worse. Here is exactly how insurance, Medicaid, Medicare and CareCredit work at Drexel Hill Family and Cosmetic Dentistry.
Insurance we accept
PPO dental plans
We are in-network with most major PPO plans and file claims for you. Bring your card and we will verify coverage, deductible and remaining annual maximum before treatment.
Medicaid
Accepted for both adults and children where the plan covers dental. This includes preventive visits, fillings, extractions and children's sealants and fluoride.
Medicare
Accepted, including Medicare Advantage plans that carry dental benefits. We will tell you what your plan covers and what it does not before you commit to treatment.
No insurance
Pay as you go with cash, check or card, or use CareCredit for monthly payments. You always receive a written estimate first.
CareCredit financing
CareCredit lets you spread the cost of implants, crowns, orthodontics or a full treatment plan across monthly payments, with interest-free promotional periods on qualifying amounts. Applications take a few minutes and you get a decision right away.
Apply for CareCreditYour first visit

- 4You leave with a written treatment plan, your estimated cost, and a cleaning scheduled — or done the same day where time allows.
Payment & insurance FAQs
- Do you take my insurance?
- We accept most PPO dental plans, Medicaid and Medicare. Because plan networks change, the fastest answer is to call your nearest office with your plan name and member ID — we will verify your benefits before your appointment and tell you what is covered.
- What if I do not have dental insurance?
- You are still welcome. We quote treatment up front, prioritize what is urgent, and offer CareCredit so you can pay monthly instead of all at once.
- How does CareCredit work?
- CareCredit is a healthcare credit card used for dental treatment. You apply online in a few minutes, and if approved you can spread treatment across monthly payments, often with an interest-free promotional period. Our front desk can walk you through the application.
- Will I know the cost before treatment starts?
- Yes. After your exam you receive a written treatment plan with your estimated insurance portion and your out-of-pocket cost. Nothing proceeds until you have seen it.
- What should I bring to my first visit?
- A photo ID, your insurance card, a list of medications you take, and the name of your previous dentist if you would like us to request records. Arrive about ten minutes early to complete forms.
- Do you see children and accept Medicaid for kids?
- Yes. We see children from their first tooth onward and accept Medicaid, including for children's preventive visits, sealants and fillings.
